Do the AG Class
and our family
fit together?
The AG Class is one of the most rewarding experiences a family can have in education. Children learn that they are capable of achieving whatever they set their minds to, and develop skills to help them for the rest of their lives. And parents are able to enjoy watching their children become confident learners which filters into all aspects of their lives.

The AG Class approach is similar to a University style of education. The children meet for one day a week and learn the required knowledge and skills in a compacted format. They then have one week to apply this new knowledge and skill set towards completing a large task that has been broken down into smaller tasks to be completed each week.

The AG Class is a very different model of education to what most families have experienced so far in their educations. The focus is on personal growth through challenge, feedback, teamwork and facing failure. Grades are not given and children are rewarded for their efforts. Self-evaluation is encouraged and children evaluate and report on their learning.

For this reason, it is important to take the some important factors into consideration when making the decision if the AG Class is right for your child and your family. Yes, family - not just your child - family. The majority of the AG Class work is done at home in their own time - outside of school hours. This style of learning is often very new to many of the students and a big adjustment for them - and it is absolutely essential that they receive support from their family. It is not 1 person in your family that commits to the AG Class, it is your entire family.

If all three facets of child, parent and teacher are able to work together to facilitate the child's learning, the AG Class is highly successful in creating a strong foundation and the building blocks for life long learners who have all the skills they need to succeed in their chosen path.
