Is the AG Class right for you?

The students that adjust quickly and get the most out fo the class often have a combination of the following traits;

if you are not self-motivated and/or highly organised, you can still achieve a great deal in the AG Class. But from experience, unmotivated and disorganised children struggle to adjust to the demands of the program and require a great deal of parent support to help them as they progress through the class. If you are willing to take on the challenge to become a better version of you, even through difficult times, and are not afraid to take risks in your learning, then this is the class for you!

The AG Class also uses technology to communicate with your class mates and teacher. A good understanding of email - including attaching documents, Google drive as well as typing skills and technology is helpful to make communication and learning easier.

Self-motivated
Children that are motivated learners benefit the most from what the AG Class offers.
As the AG Class style is similar to a university style of learning, motivated students are able to ensure that they complete the necessary work at home during the week.

Children that are not motivated struggle to complete their workload and often have many arguments with family at home.
​
The journey is much easier for the entire family if the child is motivated to succeed and keen to put the effort required to complete the challenges in the AG Class.

Highly organised
Highly organised children are able to utilise their organisational skills to help them to keep on top of the AG Class workload.
AG Class children have homework in multiple subjects every week. There is a lot of homework and as we often work in teams, it is important that children complete their homework to successfully play their role in their team.
​
Children that are disorganised require extra help and support from their parents to ensure that they stay up to date with class work. Sometimes this combination can create a stressful family environment.
However, if the family is prepared and committed to supporting their child, these children can find great success - and an amazing new skill!
Hard working
Children that are hard workers often have the capacity to attack the AG Class challenges with vigour.
In the AG Class we believe that nothing that is worth anything comes easily. You need to apply a lot of effort which requires hard work.

Children that are hard workers are often able to keep up with the weekly tasks and reduce the chances of feeling overwhelmed.
​
Children that are easily distracted at home and struggle to finish tasks find the AG Class challenges a big adjustment.
However, with appropriate family support, they can learn the importance of hard work and persevering with a task until it is complete.
