We are a unique
educational
approach
The AG Class approach to education uses the most current educational trends, and puts them into practice. Our approach is currently focused on utilising a growth mindset to encourage children to take on and conquer new challenges.
This class operates on the belief that intelligence is malleable and with challenge and effort, can be improved, developed and grown.

The class focus is on developing a growth mindset to allow our children to achieve as close to their potential as possible. To do this, we encourage children to;

We do not offer grades or compare children to one another. Instead we praise children for their process and and encourage teamwork as a strategy to improve and promote individual growth.

The AG Class aims to foster children who;

-
have a balanced attitude to positive and negative feedback
-
have a growth mindset when they fail
-
work well in teams
-
are self-reflective and able to take responsibility for their own learning
-
embrace challenge
-
have the skills they need to succeed in whatever challenge they wish to pursue
Risking effort
We often view effort as something that people with a deficiency have to apply. People who are seen as gifted do not need to apply effort.

This is completely false. Everyone must apply effort to develop their gift into a talent. But applying effort is often a scary and bumpy road to take.
Facing failure
We challenge children to accept failure as an essential part of success.

Once we are able to see failure as a learning opportunity, we are able to take the failure and feedback and learn from it. Failure does not mean that your journey is over - failure is an essential part of learning.
