The book witches is written by Roald Dahl and is fascinating. The story starts off with a young boy called Luke. He is living peacefully in England with his parents in till they die in a car crash. Luke goes to live with his beloved grandmother in Norway . His grandmother is an expert on the subject witches and warns him all the little ways to detect a witch. Then Luke’s grandmother receives Luke’s parents will. On the will it told Luke’s grandmother that they had to move back to England. Luke and his grandmother were not very happy about this but they did what the parents wanted otherwise Luke would not be able to live his grandmother. Before they moved to England Luke’s grandmother warned him all about the witches in England. When they move to England Luke has a fascinating adventure by walking into a room swarming with witches. He tries to hide for as long as he can but he couldn’t hide forever. In a matter of time he was discovered and turned into a mouse. He than has an exciting adventure as he tries to save the world from these evil witches. This book is highly fascinating and exciting, I would recommend this book for ages 9+ all ages would love this book and would never want to stop reading it. The story line is great but the only thing I would want to change about the book is the ending. The words were highly descriptive and gave a very clear image of what is going on and what everything looked like. It is mysterious, action packed and full of adventure Roald Dahl is a very successful author and has written a collection of books. I would recommend any of his books to ages 9+ and I azure you that any person who reads them will never regret it. Roald Dahl was born on the 13 of September in 1916 and past away on 23 November 1990. His current age when he passed away was 74.
