I loved the adventure Percy and Annabeth went on. The story also had some true facts and legends about the gods in it. The book helped me understand all about Ancient Greece and its beliefs. The Lightning Thief is the first out of a series of 5 books.
The author is Rick Riordan known as the Myth Master. He wrote the Percy Jackson series, the Heroes of Olympus series and the Kane Chronicles. The genre of this book is adventure and the story took me about 2 weeks to read. Once you have read the first book you just can’t resist the next ones.
Children 10 and up should read this book.
