Wonder is a book about a boy named August who is born with an extremely rare deformed face.At the start of the book, August is homeschooled. Then August's mum decides that August needs to attend regular school, so August begins school at Beecher Prep. He immediately finds a friend in Jack and an enemy in Julian. Worse yet, August has to find a way to survive the school play.
This book is a great read because it is a powerful and moving story. It makes you think about how people's lives are different from your own, but that does not mean that they can't be your best friend. We could easily relate to August and enjoyed reading this book over and over and over again.
We would recommend this book for children over 8 years old. This is a must read!
